Maximus is seeking a Job Developer to join our dynamic Wisconsin FoodShare & Employment Training (FSET) team in Milwaukee, WI. You would be responsible for employee engagement, job placement and support, participant development, documentation and reporting, and labor market analysis.
This will be a Monday thru Friday position, and the ideal candidate will require reliable transportation to travel to our different Milwaukee, WI office locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular one-on-one or group training sessions for existing providers, necessitating travel.
- Attend and actively participate in recruitment events to attract new providers to the program.
- Handle escalated provider issues efficiently and effectively.
- Address urgent concerns related to high visibility providers, ensuring swift resolutions.
- Offer ongoing support to designated providers as assigned.
- Collaborate with client, fellow contractors, and stakeholders to communicate and implement - operational policy changes.
- Stay updated on project details and changes.
- Extensive travel is an inherent part of the role.
- Fulfill additional assignments as directed by management.
Employer Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, industries, and organizations to identify employment opportunities.
- Conduct outreach to employers to promote the benefits of hiring FSET participants.
- Serve as a liaison between employers and the FSET program to address workforce needs.
Job Placement and Support:
- Match FSET participants with suitable employment opportunities based on their skills, experience, and career goals.
- Assist participants with job applications, resumes, interviews, and onboarding processes.
- Provide follow-up support to ensure job retention and address any employment challenges.
- Participant Development:
- Collaborate with case managers to assess participants’ skills, interests, and job readiness.
- Recommend training or upskilling programs to enhance participants’ employability.
- Conduct workshops or one-on-one sessions on employment topics, such as job searching and workplace expectations.
Labor Market Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze local labor market trends to identify in-demand industries and skills.
- Share labor market insights with program staff to guide participant career planning.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of employer contacts, job placements, and participant progress.
- Prepare reports on job development activities and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FSET program guidelines and performance metrics.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to travel locally for employer outreach and participant support as needed.
- Commitment to the mission of empowering FSET participants to achieve self-sufficiency through sustainable employment.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in workforce development, job placement, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income individuals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with employers and participants.
- Knowledge of local labor markets, workforce trends, and employer expectations.
- Proficiency in job-matching and employment-focused counseling techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
