Reviews and develops new or proposed security policies, procedures, and guidelines for use by KSC employees and contractors. Manages the investigations/law enforcement programs in the protection of NASA people and property. Conducts criminal, internal, administrative and workplace violence investigations for violations of Federal and State of Florida law, along with NASA procedures, policies, and requirements. Coordinates criminal investigations with other Federal and State of Florida law enforcement agencies. Responsible for implementing Agency or Center security programs, managing physical security systems, conducting security assessments and audits, applying modern physical security solutions as well as reviewing and developing new or proposed security policies, procedures, and guidelines for Center and Agency use. Collaborate with and provide oversight and surveillance of the KSC Protective Service Contractor. Serves as a Lead Special Agent for various launches, events, spacecraft or payload ground movements, and program/tenant operations, to include conducting, planning, developing, coordinating, and managing security functions. Plans and supports the protection of VIPs, including coordinating contract security forces and local/Federal law enforcement. Supports all major KSC PSO Security functions including training and awareness, law enforcement and investigations, badging and access control, workplace violence prevention, facility and asset protection, contractor oversight, and strategic security planning. Conducts operations to detect, deter, and neutralize security violations, criminal activity and workplace violence. Serves as Duty Agent for the Protective Services Office for any protective service matters that effect KSC, on-duty and off.
