Job Description
Population Health Division’s Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Prevention Program is accepting applications for a position in class 2322 Nurse Manager. This position supervises nurses and health workers, and helps oversee clinical operations at San Francisco City Clinic, the municipal STI clinic. City Clinic diagnoses and treats sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. In addition, we have a high-volume biomedical HIV/STI prevention program, providing medication for post-exposure (PEP) and preexposure (PrEP) prophylaxis to prevent HIV infection, as well as doxycycline postexposure prophylaxis to prevent chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea. We also offer women’s health services, partner services for persons diagnosed with HIV or syphilis, and learning opportunities for nursing and medical.
Under the supervision of the STD Clinic Medical Director, the Nurse Manager is responsible for overall assessment, management, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in our STI and HIV programs and collaborates with the management team in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical program activities.

Substitution:
Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.
One-year fulltime employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above 40 hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine fulltime employment.

Training and Experience Evaluation: (Weight: 100%):
Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in a Training and Experience Evaluation that is designed to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position.
The link to the training and experience evaluation will be emailed to the address listed on the candidate’s online application. Candidates will be required to respond to the training and experience evaluation in the time frame indicated and must submit the completed questionnaire as directed to have it evaluated. Responses cannot be changed once submitted. Candidates will be evaluated based on their responses. Candidates must achieve a passing score on the training and experience evaluation to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score.
After the confidential eligible list is adopted the department may administer additional selection procedures to make a final hiring decision.
Eligible List Duration: The list resulting from this examination process will be 6 months.
Certification Rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be Rule of Ten Scores.
