    Job Description

    Pinnacle Transplant Technologies is looking for a motivated team player within our Accounting team, to support our mission of honoring the gift of donation.

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO PTT'S MISSION:

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing management with financial information by reviewing, posting, researching and analyzing accounts and partnering with the accounting staff. He/she is responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; and applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP, and state rules and regulations and PTT SOPs at all times.

    · Monthly reconciliation of all bank account statements.

    · Assist Controller in reviewing, approving and posting journal entries to the general ledger.

    · Maintains days sales outstanding (DSO) and accounts receivable aging metrics.

    · Partner with accounts receivable specialist to assist with billing, cash receipts and collections and serve as back-up, as necessary.

    · Reconcile and maintain Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

    · Assist with check runs and wire/ACH transactions to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and serve as back-up to accounts payable as necessary.

    · Ensure accurate coding and timely processing of invoices and vendor statement reconciliations.

    · Identify, manage and implement process improvement projects as assigned by Controller.

    · Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

    · Determine and enter monthly journal entries, assign entries to proper accounts, and assist with account schedule reconciliations upon review by Controller.

    · Assist with audit deliverables in conjunction with work being done through the Controller’s office.

    · Inventory real property and equipment (fixed assets), recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.

    · Work with government agencies and various reporting requirements, including issuance of 1099’s as appropriate.

    · Perform routine administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, preparing reports, and responding to requests for information about specific accounts.

    · Maintain current knowledge of software features and proficiency in using PTT’s accounting system as well as intermediate excel skills.

    · Complete required monthly and annual training and re-training in work and safety procedures.

    · Other duties as assigned by Controller or PTT Leadership.

     

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    · Associates Degree in accounting, business administration or related field is required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

    · 1-3 years of experience in accounting and finance in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

     

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS

    · Full Time position (40 hours or more) based in Arizona. Hours may include evenings and weekends to perform tasks outlined in the job description.

    The Accounting Specialist is expected to maintain confidentiality of all donor/recipient information and financial information.
