    The Standardized Operations & Analytics, (SOA) Program Management Office (PMO) Data Analytics Internship is an exciting opportunity to work within this team at Maximus. This opportunity is remote in any time zone within the United States only.

    Additionally, the selected intern will gain knowledge of general business principles, corporate organizational structure and government process improvement. Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact, and collaborate among various project teams, consultants, senior management, executives and peers. Guidance and training on operations standards and protocols will be provided by the Manager.

    BENEFITS / COMPENSATION:

    Hourly pay range is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Interns are eligible for benefits. All computer equipment and access to digital systems will be provided to the hired candidate. Students may also complete the internship for academic credit, subject to the qualifications of their academic program.

    PROGRAM DETAILS:

    This position requires a commitment of 40 full-time hours per week, with availability during usual business hours (8AM-6PM ET), for the duration of a 10-week summer program: starting Tuesday, May 27th and ending Friday, August 8th, 2025

  • Qualifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support to project and operations management, which may include researching, identifying, anticipating, and meetings needs of all departments.

    • Perform routine administrative functions, including daily support of office administration, calendar management, meeting logistics.

    • Assist in identifying new ways to improve data usage and business outcomes.

    • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult and escalate issues to management.

    • Assist with ad-hoc reporting.

    The primary task will be working alongside the proposal team and performing data analysis based upon planned versus historical or trending data. There are several dynamic projects in the pipeline to assist with identifying and analyzing target metrics. The hired candidate will present their findings to leadership to help shape strategic planning. The team works on implementation in a collaborative, communicative and people first environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferred completion of relevant coursework in data science, data analysis, computational math, statistics, data visualization, and/or information systems.

    • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of coursework.

    • Skilled in standard computer applications and platforms such as Outlook and MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.

    • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail.

    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

    The ideal candidate will posses the following strengths: organization, resourcefulness, communication, data analytics, presentation preparation, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Be willing to ask questions to facilitate better understanding of assignments and improve analysis--it is expected and critical to internship success. This position is reserved for senior level undergraduate students only.
