All previous applicants are required to reapply in order to be considered. This Administrative Associate II position is located in Summerset Cottage of Murdoch Developmental Center. Summerset Cottage provides specialized direct services to individuals with extreme behavioral challenges. The Administrative Associate II is under the supervision of the Administrative Specialist I. The Administrative Associate II assists the Administrative Specialist I as needed to type the majority of documents including letters, memorandums, evaluations, reports and any other necessary correspondence within the division. This position is responsible for: greeting and assisting visitors answering incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system and delivering messages purchasing supplies for the division and individuals (some off campus shopping required), balancing and reconciling figures maintaining and updating individuals' financial accounts ordering personal comforts and office supplies for the division ensuring that adequate amounts of appropriate items are available for individuals and staff; prepares and handles work orders. This position assumes responsibilities for office operations in the absence of the Administrative Specialist I, as needed, and performs other related duties as assigned. This position also shares responsibilities for providing office assistance to Meadowview Cottage on a weekly basis on one designated day of the week, as well as office assistance help to sister cottages as needed. Successful completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training, as well as CPR and First Aid certifications are required for this position. Scheduled work hours are Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, and working one mandatory Saturday per year for Murdoch Center's Annual Farm Day Event. Working knowledge of basic accounting; experience in ordering supplies electronically Demonstrated experience to multi-task; independently plan, prioritize and organize time to accomplish work objectives within established timeframes. Ability to schedule and coordinate a variety of appointments, meetings, and/or conferences. Management Prefers candidates with the following: Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of Office Assistant/Secretarial experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
