    Job Description

    Currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join the expanding Engineering team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating, confirming, and reviewing technical documents and manuals, explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner and working with Systems and Model Line Engineering staff to ensure accuracy of product descriptions and repair procedures. Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:

    1. Confirm, plan, research, develop, organize, edit and write high-quality Technical Service Bulletins (TSB). a. Track from initial TSB draft, approval routing, signatures routing to launching to dealers.

    b. Participate in the TSB procedure evaluation process as necessary

    c. Analyze TSB documents to maintain continuity of style of content.

    d. Manage updates and revisions of TSBs.

    e. Utilize a variety of media forms; includes images and graphs for ease of understanding.

    f. Perform TSB procedure to confirm procedure accuracy.

    2. Review historical TSB database and generate any Hyundai TSBs to Genesis Brand TSBs when applicable.

    3. Review, edit and complete for publishing Owner’s Manuals, Shop Manuals, Body Repair Manuals (BRMs), Emergency Response Guides (ERGs), Emergency Response Quick Reference Guides (QRGs).

    4. Work with internal teams on product and documentation requirements (Quick Reference Guide, Hang Tags, etc.).

    5. Write easy-to-understand user interface text and documents to support Consumer Affairs and Field Staff.

    6. Create user documentation for a variety of technical topics, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.

    7. Participate in the Labor Time Studies (LTS), record and edit videos along with necessary documentations

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be a High School graduate

    • Preferred bachelor’s degree

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus

    • Automotive technical knowledge is highly desirable

    • Proven experience working in a technical writing position

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe programs

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Strong analytical/problem solving ability

    • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences

    • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXI, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $35 to $38 hourly based on current experience.
