Students are educated in vocational training programs like Culinary Arts, Plastering, Cement, and Certified Medical Assistant. In the event a student has not obtained a High School Diploma, they will be enrolled in a HSD program on center. It is our goal to train and educate our students to provide them with the necessary skills to join the workforce in their vocational area of study. POSITION SUMMARY: Provides supervision and guidance to the Counseling staff under the direction of the Counseling Manager. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: * Responsible to provide students with comprehensive and individualized case management ensuring student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program. Establishes supportive/mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment and provides personal and career counseling. * Routinely evaluates and documents student performance using case management system. * Supports Counseling Manager with interviews, recommends for hire, disciplines, recommends for termination and evaluates the performance of the Counseling staff in the Counseling Department. * Provides training and professional development for the Counseling staff.

    • Manages, monitors and follows up on counseling related reports. * Manages a student caseload as required. * Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior. * Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: * Bachelors degree (including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction) from an accredited school required. * A minimum of one year experience in counseling or related field. Prefer previous Job Corps or related program experience. * Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.
