    Position Description

    The Volunteer Student Internship Program (VSIP) offers students the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the federal government while still enrolled in an academic program. Through this program, students can contribute to important projects, learn about careers in public service, and build professional networks.

    Position Duties/Responsibilities

    Key aspects of the program:

    • Eligibility : VSIP is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution, pursuing high school, undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees. Applicants must maintain good academic standing and receive permission from their academic institution to participate.
    • Program Details : This is an unpaid internship that offers valuable, real-world experience in a federal work environment. Internships can be tailored to students’ academic and career goals, with participants taking on substantive work assignments that directly relate to their field of study.
