Kelaca is looking for a DevSecOps Cloud Engineer for our client partner in Raleigh, NC. As a DevSecOps Engineer on their team, you are the backbone of their strategic initiatives and will be responsible for developing technology critical to the success of our projects as well as national security.

This position supports the development, hardening, deployment and ongoing maintenance of tools that enable military wargamers to simulate nuclear, chemical and biological events in wargame scenarios and training. Based out of Raleigh, NC this position is part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of software, cloud, and security engineers delivering the next generation of cloud and web enabled wargaming software.

As a valued team contributor your tasks will include updating and improving existing cloud infrastructure, performing continuous monitoring tasks of production environments, and working to improve developer experience through automation. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of on-site support 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting ATO security artifact generation
• Day 2 operations of Kubernetes Infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting and improving performance
• Performing security patching.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of DevSecOps Processes

Skills and Experience:

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field along with 8-10 years of related experience OR 6-8 years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
• 4+ years AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• 4+ years experience with Kubernetes & containers
• 4+ years experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab, GitHub, Atlassian, or similar) – build out CI/CD pipeline for new projects
• 2+ years experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, or similar)
• You will be working closely with a collaborative team so your team player personality and excellent written/oral communication skills will be essential
• Linux (Ubuntu preferred or RHEL)
• Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent) – Write Terraform scripts to deploy AWS infrastructure

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certification (any of Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps, DevOps)
• CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 equivalent)
• Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) strongly preferred

Security Clearance Requirements:

The projects that will be assigned involve government work and US Citizenship is required. Selected applicant must have an active Secret Security Clearance.
