Your Role Gensler Charlottes Consulting Practice Area is looking for a Junior Workplace Strategist to join their team. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, energetic, have an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for design thinking and utilizing data and analytics to influence design strategies. The Consulting Practice Area uses in-depth user research, engagement, and analysis to develop strategies that enable our clients to meet their strategic business goals. P rimary responsibilities focus on workplace consulting which includes quantitative and qualitative end-user research, benchmarking and metrics , architectural programming, change management strategy and execution, activity analysis, space diagramming, design standards, and real estate strategy. The Charlotte office is fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative and growing, so opportunities continue to unfold. The ability to work in this type of environment with Fortune 500 companies on multiple projects simultaneously while producing high-quality client deliverables and presentations is a skill and talent required. What You Will Do Assist in analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data related to occupancy and workplace performance for a variety of client organizations Assist in planning and performing data collection activities (surveys, site observations, space utilization studies, visioning, etc.) Synthesize data findings and information into high quality visualizations and work with consulting team to understand design implications for client reports Develop powerful ways to express rewarding user experiences Formulate cultural and user insights, mapping opportunities Work across the firm to develop, update, and maintain project and industry benchmarking information Assist in graphically designing presentations, marketing packages and proposals Your Qualifications Bachelor degree in a design or analytics related field (Interiors, Architecture, Planning, Design Strategy, Design Thinking) 1-5 years experience (or recent grads with relevant internship experience) Experience drawing insights from users, applying generative frameworks, which allows us to express compelling solutions and communicate at a level to inform executive decision making Possess analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and be an enthusiastic team player Excellent working knowledge of Excel, InDesign and Illustrator. Knowledge of Tableau and / or Revit are a plus. Strong graphic skills required S trong verbal and written communication skills required An acute understanding of the impact of design on business performance and organizational transformation. Interest in design strategy services including: surveying, space analysis, space diagramming, real estate scenario planning, branding, space standard development, architectural programming, user research, organizational change, site and lease evaluation, growth projections, test fit analysis, and industry benchmarking.
