    Kelaca is looking for a DevSecOps Cloud Engineer for our client partner in Raleigh, NC. As a DevSecOps Engineer on their team, you are the backbone of their strategic initiatives and will be responsible for developing technology critical to the success of our projects as well as national security.

    This position supports the long-running Nuclear Capabilities Services (NuCS) project as part of The Company’s Nuclear Effects & System Assessment (NESA) directorate. This directorate is responsible for nuclear analyses including EMP testing, missile defense, high-powered electromagnetics, nuclear hardening and survivability, and model creation and validation. Based out of Raleigh, NC this position is part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of physicists and software engineers delivering the next generation of cloud and web-enabled physics modeling software.

    As a member of their team, you'll enhance their CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and security automation. Success in this role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing cutting-edge solutions, and promoting best practices for security and scalability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supporting ATO security artifact generation
    • Day 2 operations of Kubernetes Infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting and improving performace
    • Performing security patching.
    • Contributing to continuous improvement of DevSecOps Processes

    Skills and Experience:

    • Associates Degree in computer science (or similar STEM degree) with 7-9 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field along with 5-7 years of related experience OR 3-5 years of experience with a Master’s Degree.
    • Linux (RHEL or Ubuntu preferred)
    • 2+ years experience professionally with Kubernetes & containers and maintaining
    • Operating a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) system (GitLab or equivalent)
    • Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent)
    • Cybersecurity (vulnerability management, threat modeling, risk assessment)
    • Security patching and remediation experience
    • You will be working closely with a collaborative team so your team-player personality and excellent written/oral communication skills will be essential.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 equivalent)

     

    Security Clearance Requirements:

    The projects that will be assigned involve government work and US Citizenship is required.

    Selected applicant will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    Hours of On-Site Work: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

    FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt
