Responsibilities Perform job duties that accomplish the successful completion of a project within the established guidelines set forth by Survey Department Manager Assist members of the assigned survey crew with various job duties such as clear brush; carry Rod from point to point for staking; set up back site with tripod and prism Responsible for packing and unpacking survey equipment and supplies in trucks daily Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED certification 1 year previous experience in land surveying preferred but not required Ability to effectively communicate with all level of employees within an organization, both oral and written skills Ability to follow directions from supervisor as well as other members of engineering staff and management team Ability to identify and use various types of survey equipment Ability to work continually outside in all types of weather conditions and terrain Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a consistent basis- daily task includes carrying various types of survey equipment such as tripod, prism, rod; hand and power tools; and large buckets Must be able to work between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday; occasional Saturdays. May include some occasional, over night travel Must be reliable and dependable Must have good mathematical skills
