Plate Maker/Prepress Technician Printco Graphics - Omaha, NE $15 - $16 an hour Printco Graphics, a fast-paced, offset printing company is seeking a long-term member for our Prepress team! Monday-Friday 2nd Shift 3 PM - 11 PM / Some weekend hours may be required Responsibilities: Review job ticket for press information and ensure all sign-offs are completed. Output color-separated plates to platesetter. Quality-check plates against approved hard copy. Punch plates for press as needed. Gather plates and place in plate sack. Label plate sack with job info and sign-off sheet. Take plates to holding area in pressroom. Record data-collection. Perform necessary routine maintenance on plating equipment and place service calls when needed. Run and assemble proofs for internal review and/or customer approval. Stock plates and chemistry as well as other prepress supplies. Cleaning and maintenance of entire Prepress Department. Based on workload, assist other departments with jobs. Education and Experience: HS diploma or equivalent. 2 year minimum experience or training in the printing industry, bindery or graphic design. Must be self-motivated, organized, reliable and quality oriented. Must be able to clearly communicate verbal and written instructions to other employees. Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Must be able to multi-task. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for entire shift. Must be able to walk throughout departments continuously throughout the shift. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Good eyesight for fine detail necessary.
