    Kelaca is partnering with a leading engineering and land development firm to find a Project Engineer (Land Development) in Raleigh, NC. Our client’s expert design team, supported by a top-tier surveying staff, delivers innovative and sustainable solutions for land planning, permitting, stormwater management, development, and land use. Their work shapes residential communities, retail centers, parks, schools, industrial sites, manufacturing hubs, and commercial spaces—balancing today’s needs with a vision for future generations.

    Position Details

    • Full-time | Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Exempt

    What You’ll Do

    • Provide technical and design support for land (site) development projects, primarily residential developments.
    • Report directly to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
    • Conduct preliminary/due diligence evaluations and prepare reports.
    • Develop design and construction drawings, technical specifications, and permit submittals for civil engineering projects.
    • Work collaboratively within a project team, manage project tasks, and provide guidance to team members.
    • Oversee multiple project tasks, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
    • 5–7 years of experience managing land development design tasks within budget and on schedule.
    • NC PE license or ability to acquire it quickly through reciprocity.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2016 or later).
    • Hands-on experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software, such as Hydraflow and StormCAD (or similar tools).
    • Expertise in site layout, grading, erosion control, water and sewer utilities, and stormwater management.
    • Stormwater management experience, including designing wet detention ponds, infiltration systems, and pipe drainage systems, with familiarity in the NCDEMLR Coastal Counties Stormwater Management Program.
    • Strong technical competency, teamwork mindset, and communication skills.
