    The REGIONAL EDUCATION MANAGER leads Regional sales efforts in the Higher Education vertical market. You will achieve sales targets by ownership of key accounts and opportunities as well as collectively leveraging four key audiences: 

    1. Steelcase sales team
    2. Steelcase dealers
    3. Architects and designers
    4. Academic leaders

     

    WHILE NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST, DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: 

    • Cultivating positive relationships with key decision makers within the regional Education market.
    • Developing and executing winning sales strategies for both accounts and sales opportunities.
      • Account ownership of several key accounts
      • Ownership of strategic opportunities
    • Supporting other strategic accounts / opportunities in the region.
    • Planning, facilitating and/or conducting complex negotiations, typically over a long sales cycle.
    • Applying consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions for complex opportunities.
    • Utilizing advanced product knowledge and comprehension of the customer's business to develop creative solutions that meet the client's needs while producing revenue in line with product category plans.

     

    THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN AUSTIN AND HAVE EDUCATION ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES IN BOTH AUSTIN AND SAN ANTONIO.

     

    THIS IS NOT A PEOPLE LEADER/MANAGER ROLE.

The role requires someone who is self-motivated, well-adapted and willing to accept responsibility for results.     Required Experience

    You will have consultative selling experience within the Education vertical and strong knowledge of the Education environment and the evolution of learning. Contract furniture experience or related experience is helpful. Bachelor's degree is required.
