  • Responsibilities

    PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE :

    This Product Development Associate will work in tandem with the Director to help drive calendarized and non-calendarized initiatives for Skincare and Complexion at TOM FORD BEAUTY. The ideal candidate will be a beauty enthusiast, self-motivated, and highly detail oriented.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES :

    • Assist in development of skincare and complexion new products while managing the day-to-day maintenance of new and existing development (reestablishment of standards, labeling submissions, etc.).
    • Collaborate with PD Director to evaluate new submissions against prototype or standard for all formula aesthetics. Manage the redirect process with R&D to ensure all formula modifications are conveyed clearly and precisely.
    • Evaluate all product submissions and the establishment of standards from lab through first production. Track and execute reformulations and update production standards on an on- going basis.
    • Work closely with Marketing to support the strategic 3-year innovation pipeline through new innovative brainstorming, competitive analysis, and market search.
    • Support the development of the product profile process which is a critical document that informs the creation of all other support materials. Work closely with R&D to ensure it is accurate and exceptionally technical.
    • Work in synergy with Marketing, Education, Packaging Development, and Creative during the development process to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.
    • Track key trends, the competitive environment and participate in brainstorming meetings for new product concepts.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 1-2 years relevant experience
    • Strong creative and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication (verbal, written) skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $62,400 to $93,250. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
