The Global Manager will work closely with the Global Digital Experiences Director to continually optimize and enhance the Tom Ford Beauty and Balmain Beauty global online experience across platforms. This person will work collaboratively across many teams (marketing, creative, engineering, customer service, consumer engagement, analytics, etc.) to drive new site functionality, global market rollouts, and the optimization of existing functionality to meet brand objectives.
The Global Manager will need to manage multiple site experience projects (enhancement, functionality, features, etc.) simultaneously. They will partner with regional and Global teams to guide platform appropriate brand content and integrate digital marketing programs. Communicating new functionality, assets, brand guidelines, programs and initiatives is key; along with a thorough understanding of the differences and challenges faced by each market.
The success of the role will be measured by the delivery of high quality and timely projects, brand stakeholder management, relationship development and communication style will also be factors in performance measurement.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scope
- Maintain Global strategic roadmap for Tom Ford Beauty and Balmain Beauty.com sites – or broader digital experiences - is implemented and achieved via unique functionality, new features.
- Communicate the strategic roadmap, document progress, and help trouble-shoot any challenges.
- Constant optimizations within the site led by data analysis– and partnership with Global Ecommerce teams to ensure we are collaborating on the Tom Ford Beauty and Balmain Beauty priorities & competitive climate needs.
- Work with regional partners to ensure local relevancy is accounted for and provide support to make necessary adjustments at local level.
- Support in the documentation of the how in partnership with Site Operations team to help the market implement seamlessly and easily.
- Key focus on improving process and communication globally – ensure transparency, sharing and collaboration as it relates to Tom Ford Beauty and Balmain Beauty .com sites.
- Support in the facilitation of global site development and redesigns in partnership with ELC Online/Director Digital Experiences in terms of strategic elements, rollout, feature needs/upgrades and key changes required both from user testing, data analysis, and branding changes.
- Elevate and prioritize the most critical business critical areas to ensure a seamless, fast and excellent customer experience.
- Partner closely with all ELC online teams to ensure Tom Ford Beauty and Balmain Beauty is prioritized and top of mind as well as key leanings and best practices are learned. Cross-functional partners (Product team, Account & Checkout, Cart, International Rollout, Site Speed/Performance, Promotions & regional maintenance teams).
- Support in the mentoring of Associate Design Director UI to elevate skillsets, communication and enhance productivity.
- Create feature requirement documents by working closely with the creative, business owners and engineering teams to develop.
- Explain individual elements of a project to brand leads production, designers, and developers.
- Liaise with 3rd party individuals and companies to outsource project elements.
- Act as quality gatekeeper for all brand deliverables, ensure that standards are met before key parties sign-off on budget and timing.
- Create scope of work documents, estimates and timing plans for projects.
Process & Delivery
- Drive the delivery of a wide variety of projects to include new and enhanced site functionality.
- Work with specialists in each cross functional team (engineering, creative, marketing, promotions, education, etc.) to finalize and deliver each element of a brief on schedule.
- Analyze decisions made throughout a project lifecycle, understanding potential impact to the timescale and raise issues/concerns where appropriate.
- Maintain ongoing production release calendar for larger team usage.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage brand expectations within the confines of the allocated delivery projects – defining internal and external roles, responsibilities and due dates at project kick-off and ensuring communication is open, transparent and in line with the agreed communication plan.
- Guide stakeholders through the production process with timely status updates and meetings.
- Communicate all risks, concerns and potential delivery impact for each decision made throughout the project lifecycle to all key stakeholders.
Optimizing Online User Experience & User Interface
- Monitor and verify site quality throughout its release cycle by working very closely with the Site Operations, QA team, and Business teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve site experience through new technology and site enhancements, optimize customer experience and site conversion by analyzing data, consumer behavior and multivariate testing insights.
- Manage on “day-to-day” basis cross functional teams to develop features and functionality for the site, including diagnostic tools (product finders, virtual try-on, etc.).
- Research industry best practices to maintain optimal site experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in project management and site usability, preferably on a branded ecommerce business.
- UX/UI, digital production, creative services, or content management experiences preferred.
- Strong exposure to responsive design and usability principals (user interface and user experience) across platforms from both a functional and design perspective.
- Understanding of creative assets and terminologies and tools; Adobe Creative Suite; FIGMA.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment (including the use of relevant online project management and collaboration tools).
- Proven track record of delivering a range of projects based on scope, timeline, cost, and quality.
- Extremely strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task successfully and strategically.
- Strong ability to effectively and professionally communicate across various levels of the organization (written and verbal) including engineering resources, features teams, creative designers, ecommerce counterparts, and senior management.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, collaborate and influence across cross functional teams and pro-actively problem solve.
- Proficiency required in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of MS Project, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred.
- College degree required; BA/BS in marketing, computer science or a related discipline preferred.
- Flexibility in communication due to varying time zones.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
