    PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:

    This position reports to the Vice President of Global Creative and management of global TOM FORD BEAUTY Cosmetic and Fragrance in-store merchandising, campaign collateral, retailer visual weeks, merchandising guidelines, specialty merchandising and fixtures representing the brand image and equity.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design of new, innovative, and distortive merchandising solutions for a luxury & prestige beauty landscape through ideation, sketches, and presentation renderings creatively while remaining on-brand.
    • Concept and design brand’s in-store merchandising for key Cosmetic and Fragrance launches, including in-store collateral, presentations, retailer visual weeks, specialty merchandising units.
    • Design and oversee production of customized merchandising elements for TOM FORD BEAUTY and TOM FORD FASHION retail environments.
    • Partner with Global Product Marketing and Creative Operations to establish project briefs, project objectives, and draw inspiration from campaign collateral to concept and propose merchandising elements for the in-store environment.
    • Develop guidelines for both site-specific needs and system wide for regional teams to adapt for a variety of distribution points of sale.
    • Guide regional teams on fabrication through the review of proposals in 2D/3D and providing timely feedback on material use, asset usage and offering design solutions.
    • Liaise with Development team on execution of system with vendors through the review of engineering drawings, materials samples, production samples and final prototypes for key launches.
    • Coordinate with Global Store Design team and Events team for relevant site drawings and specifications needed for execution of merchandising fixtures in store.

    Qualifications

    • Position requires 5 years+ of experience preferred in luxury retail.
    • BA/BFA in Industrial Design, Product Design, Interior Design (or equivalent required) degree required.
    • Passionate about retail and in-store visual merchandising with a deep understanding of current luxury beauty/fashion/retail/design trends.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, contribute ideas, and interact with other departments and network of global contacts.
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    • Excellent organizational skills, quality execution, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to solve merchandising challenges creatively while remaining on-brand.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to cross functional partners.
    • Flexibility and problem-solving skills are essential.
    • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and relevant CAD/3-D rendering programs, preferably Rhino and Keyshot.
    • Proficient understanding of materials, manufacturing, and installation execution.
    • Model making abilities a plus.

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $139,600. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
