Product Development Coordinator - Too Faced
Job Summary
The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Product Development team by organizing, updating, and upkeeping documents, products, and filing systems. They will assist various team members on product development components. This individual must be innovative and creative with a keen awareness of global color and industry trends.
This position is based in Too Faced Corporate Headquarters located in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities
· The Product Development Coordinator will track, label, organize and manage all product samples: project benchmarks, formula standards, shade standards, production standards (internal and vendor facing).
· Assist Product Development team with competitive market research: trending finishes/ forms, ingredient callouts, claims testing and overall market assessments.
· Works closely with Director on approval of competitive product purchases
· Track, organize, label, and manage all competitive product, storing away for future use and department visibility.
· Setup and organize on-stie/ off-site vendor facing meetings.
· Track, organize, label, and manage all vendor presentation products received, storing away for future use and department visibility.
· Track and manage all FedEx and UPS shipments to and from vendors, via detailed shipment tracker.
· Assist in ideating and conceptualizing future product launches and product trends via curation of moodboards, and product innovation decks.
· Assist in ideating, pulling, and purchasing shaded benchmarks for future product launch concepts.
· Works closely with Director/ Manger to review incoming formula and shade development in building formula development skills and color eye; while supporting team to track detailed color, texture and attribute directives to send to vendor(s).
· Label and organize all master project bens for ease of accessibility of all standards throughout development pipeline of product.
· Ensure all 1st Production Standards are tracked and updated in accordance with QA and manufacturer suggested timelines.
· Assist Product Development team with weekly product development meeting(s) and record detailed information on product related tasks.
· Track & take notes in all meetings for internal & external team alignment and reference.
Qualifications
Desired Skills and Requirements
· Minimum 1+ year color cosmetics product development or similar experience.
· Passionate about the beauty industry.
· Advanced level in Microsoft business programs – Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Must be detailed oriented and very organized.
· Must feel comfortable being driven by deadlines with a high sense of urgency and agility.
· Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapts to change in priorities.
· Proven ability to take complicated information and summarize the key messages for a variety of audiences.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $26.25 per hour to $38.95 per hour. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
