  • Responsibilities

    Onsite Brand Lead, to drive new launch activity to achieve revenue and COG's goals. Collaborate with Packaging, Marketing & GBSC to understand and communicate the requirements for all new products. Focus communications with all levels of the Supplier organizations to achieve their full understanding of global policies, requirements of costs, service and quality to better support our organization. Responsible for managing category or sub category of business for total cost management within an assigned Brand, including negotiating contracts for new product launches in collaboration with the Commodity GSR partners. Assigns work to Analysts for SAP/SRM tooling po's & indirect purchases of pilots, packaging, etc.

    SOURCING, NEGOTIATION & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT (40%)

    • Manage specific launches within a Brand (or sub-category of a Brand). Responsible for spend of XX.

    • Construct and deploy Request for Quotes (RFQ's) to agreed upon Suppliers via Costing Specifications.

    • Interpret Supplier proposals; Negotiating the most competitive cost, while supporting the need for the highest quality, on time delivery, and the most economic ordering sequence to maintain inventory levels.

    • Prepare cost analysis for review with Direct Supervisor, Brand, Category, and various other partners in the process.

    • Recommend business awards to EBC.

    • Distinguish the need for tooling investments and origination costs (screens, plates, etc) for better control of capital acquisitions.

    • Navigate Supplier charge backs and quality/service issues as necessary and within a collaboration with Planning.

    • Coordinate with Vendor Data Stewards all supplier information (e.g. change of address, terms, etc).

    • Actively collaborate and evaluate, with various teams, Supplier material data in order to achieve inventory goals while maintaining cost objectives within the Brand (e.g. Minimum Lot Size/MLS, Rounding, and Planned Delivery Time/PDT, Economic Manufacturing Quantity/EMQ, Delfor, etc).

    • Understand and maintain key metrics leading to Supplier selection and awards (e.g. GQMS, Service metrics category strategies, etc.).

    • Appraise Suppliers manufacturing sites to keep current of all capabilities, challenges and future potential.

    BRAND COST CONTAINMENT and LAUNCH EXECUTION: (40%)

    • Outline Supplier development schedules to be reviewed with Package Development and/or Third Party Planners in order to gain consensus for final critical event/new launch path. Provide GBSC start up, delivery schedule, etc.) in order to appropriately direct the Supply Base.

    • Model the Costing Analysis Worksheet, maintained from feasibility through final cost, for new launches. Communicate analysis to various teams (Finance, Marketing, Packaging, etc.) for evaluation and approval; Responsible for cost interpretation and accuracy.

    • Establish pricing and standard costing for purchased items to align w/ Brand COGS targets.

    • Support post launch re-buys to align with Brand COG's and inventory goals.

    • Prepare and execute Authorization to Buy (ATB) when necessary to insure on time launch sequence; as well as PO and/or Production Risk calculations for evaluation and approvals.

    • Prepare documentation for Right the First Time, Technical Readiness, etc. for discussion with Direct Supervisor and the Brand.

    • Prepare, present and attend various Brand meetings (such as: PPD, GBSC Ops, Repack/Reform, etc.).

      • Breakdown monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) report. Identify key findings w/explanations and report into Direct Supervisor, as well as Brand Finance.
      • Originate requests for WBS numbers and create tooling purchase orders or indirect purchase orders for miscellaneous spend in SRM.
    • Develop strong relationships and communications w/in all levels of Brand to drive strategic initiatives. Collaborate w/ Category Leads and teams to align w/ Category Strategies.

    VALUE ANALYSIS (20%):

    • Prepare and generate individual Cost of Goods (COG's) reduction opportunities; Support cost reduction opportunities within the Brand and in collaboration with Category GSR to achieve PMT goals and access progress.

    • Coordinate/collaborate with cross functional teams, as well as Suppliers, to identify cost savings opportunities. Present savings opportunities to the Brand, Category leads, etc. and drive execution and implementation.

    Qualifications

    • CPSM Certification preferred

    • SAP Knowledge of P2P preferred

    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

    • Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.

    • Excellent data management and analytical skills

    • Strong project management skills

    • Minimum 5 years experience

    • U.S. Corporate/Office Exempt Roles

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $99,400 - $163,800. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
