    Amway North America Commercial Finance Internship

    What is special about this team: Amway North America (ANA) is an affiliate of the Amway Corporation that is based in Ada, MI. The ANA Commercial Finance team supports the management financials for the North American affiliate region. This entails the revenue performance, product portfolio, incentives, and the delivery experience for the end distributor. This role will provide experience within financial, planning, and analysis, while directly influencing a set of stakeholders that is at the frontlines of key strategic business initiatives that drive affiliate growth.

    How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This position will help the team with various projects that will improve the ability to perform financial analyses and insights to tackle key business problems.

    An example of a typical project is: Projects may include financial reporting and analysis solutions, working closely with dashboards utilizing tools such as Alteryx and Tableau. This role would collaborate with key stakeholders that may leverage the tools to gather feedback and buy-in prior to the implementation.

    Desired Skills: Finance or Accounting major preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and communication skills.

    Desired Degree: Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant area

    Corporate Treasury Internship

    What is special about this team: The Corporate Treasury team is a close-knit group of hardworking, dedicated individuals responsible for managing US cash, global foreign exchange risk, and incoming/outgoing payment processes for Amway. This team collaborates extensively with Global Treasury counterparts, banking partners and business partners around the world to ensure liquidity for day-to-day obligations, controllership and protection of liquid assets, and execution of financial risk management strategies. On this team, you will receive broad exposure to a wide variety of Treasury activities required to support a large multinational company operating successfully in over 90 different countries around the world.

    How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: The individual will receive a well-rounded introduction to treasury excellence with a combination of basic information and complex concepts. The individual will be introduced to and support required day-to-day treasury activities, while also contributing to a project that will positively impact the go-forward activities of the team.

    An example of a typical project is: Potential projects may include supporting optimization of our Treasury Management System (Kryiba); supporting build out of the Kyriba Business Intelligence Module; or supporting our data/analytics and short-term/long-term forecasting capabilities through the use of Kyriba BI and/or Alteryx and Tableau. Our team is constantly focused on continuous improvement and driving better/faster decision making through data. Potential projects will continue to push us forward on these efforts.

    Desired Skills: Finance or Accounting major preferred; proficient with Office tools (Excel, Access etc.); ability to work in a fast paced environment; strong analytical and communications skills

    Desired Degree: BBA (preferred focus in Finance, Accounting, or Economics) or Masters degree (MBA or MSA); other majors at the discretion of Treasury Leadership

    Internal Audit Internship

    What is special about this team: Internal Audit supports our A70 strategy by identifying, reviewing and addressing risks that could impede our strategic objectives. We consider the full spectrum of risk mitigation – from enterprise-level risk identification to operational and compliance risk analysis and crisis support. We strive to provide value-added outcomes to the enterprise while also serving as a pipeline for enterprise talent.

    How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: This position will help Internal Audit in its support of risk identification and mitigation by supporting our processes and approaches to providing value-added outcomes.

    An example of a typical project is: Identifying areas of risk within the organization utilizing our comprehensive operational risk register and enterprise-level inventory of risk areas. Once a risk area is identified, we vet the risk with the appropriate stakeholders and work with subject matter experts to understand potential impacts to the organization. Using this understanding, we develop a work program to thoroughly review the risks and existing mitigation efforts, identifying gaps and making recommendations for improvements.

    Desired Skills: Business major preferred. Proficient with Office tools (Excel, Access etc.). Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical and communications skills. Critical thinking skills, data analytics mindset.

    Desired Degree: BBA or BS degree in relevant area
