Position Summary
This program is an 11-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.
The summer internship program is from May 28 – August 8, 2025.
CVS Health follows a 3 day in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.
Our office location for this role is Scottsdale, AZ. A housing stipend may be provided, based on eligibility, and interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23.00 per hour, with 40 hours per week, July 4th off (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed below.

About the Business Area
Information Technology Government Services/Clinical manages products in the Government Services and Clinical Prior Authorization Area. The focus would be for the Prior Authorization product, which provides a utilization management workflow and rules engine product that evaluates clinical criteria to render a decision for benefit coverage. This involves application development of these products to support operations and client enhancements.
What you will do
• Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to product requirements
• Collaborate across a cross-functional development team and stakeholders to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of applications
• Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency
• Write and execute comprehensive unit test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of applications
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

• Leadership experience (e.g., student organizations, sports, or work-related projects)
• Experience leading a project at school or work
• Internship or work experience in a related field
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
• Work experiences in Application Development in C#.net and in Angular
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners and project managers to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components to produce defect-free, thoroughly tested features
• Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Passion for changing healthcare, i.e., interest in evolving landscape of healthcare
Education
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Information Systems
