Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) Co Op Overview

E&PS uniquely contributes to J&J's vision by taking care of all our homes around the world: offices, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and R&D labs. We do this on behalf of the enterprise - delivering flexible, efficient, scalable solutions that help our company expand and grow, ultimately enabling J&J to provide products that save, prolong and enhance the lives of consumers and patients worldwide.

Our engineering organization designs our J&J facilities, using cutting edge technology such as drones, virtual reality, digital information management systems and 3D modelling. Leveraging "fit for purpose" design standards and modular construction, we build truly flexible spaces that can be converted for multi-purpose use, and "smart" facilities. E&PS also leads J&J's manufacturing for the future initiative, overseeing critical infrastructure, and implementing J&J's sustainability programs to reduce CO2, energy, waste and water.

Our project management organization builds all of J&J's facilities worldwide, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and with world-class safety standards. E&PS provides agile project delivery on behalf of the J&J enterprise. In fact, in the past five years alone, we've managed nearly $11 billion of capital projects to successful completion. Furthermore, E&PS has developed industry-leading project management methodology and processes, which we use to manage projects as effectively as possible - seeking continuous improvement, so that each new project is built more quickly and efficiently than the last.

Life as an Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) Co Op

Our University hires play an important role in enhancing our business. We plan to hire 200 Engineering/Supply Chain 2023 Fall Co Ops, and we need YOU! The co-op program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, networking opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the country. When you join our family, you will work on projects that improve your leadership, analytical, and project management skills. Cross-functional teamwork provides an opportunity to partner with a variety of people in the organization across all our sectors; Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Corporate/Enterprise. We offer an interactive team environment, where your capabilities and skills will be developed to build a strong career foundation.

Fall Co Op typical term is : June 2023 - December 2023 (dates are flexible)

Some teams may offer an extended co-op term

Assignment may be virtual/remote, while other business critical roles will be onsite and may require relocation

Qualifications

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's and/or MBA

• Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshmen year at accredited University is required

• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required

• Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills are preferred

• Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results

• Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals

• Participation in an Engineering Society is desired

• Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired
