Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's Immunology Therapeutic Area is recruiting for an Immunology Summer Intern, located in San Diego, California.

Gain exposure to drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry with a 12-week paid internship during the summer (Mid-May to Mid-August) with J&J Innovative Medicine's Immunology Therapeutic Area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in department and team meetings
• Experimental design and execution
• Data collection and recording keeping
• Shadowing key functional roles for learning/development opportunities
• Assisting with interpretation, reporting, and preparation of oral and written results of product research, in concert with senior clinical personnel
• Review of literature and related new technologies
• Other projects as assigned
• Leadership opportunities on specific programs and or group projects
• Abstract/ poster preparation and presentation at organization-wide research symposium

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university (not necessarily taking classes) and actively pursuing a related degree
• Available to work 10-12 weeks from May - August and have the ability to work full-time during that time
• Legally authorized to work in the United States, as Permanent Residents or United States Citizens, and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as leadership qualities
• Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks
• Work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
• Participation in campus/community service activities is desired
• Provide their own transportation to/from their work location
