World Wide Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer for our ATC (Advanced Technology Center) Delivery - Events Development Team. Want to work with highly motivated individuals on high-performance teams? Join WWT today! 

What is the Events Team and why join?  

Our mission on the Events team is to build customer value by promoting the wwt.com platform through world-class event and meeting experiences for our customers and partners. WWT hosts hundreds of private and public events monthly on wwt.com/events. You will join a team of talented software developers, QA Engineers, UX designers, and business analysts focused on enriching the digital experience for all our event attendees, presenters, and hosts. We strive to make every digital engagement with wwt.com delightful, valuable, and memorable.

Here are some recent examples of the impactful work we’ve been involved in: 

• Built a custom registration solution for event hosts to gather attendee registration information (T-shirt size, attending in-person vs virtually, dietary restrictions, etc.) by integrating SurveyJS into our events platform.
• Enabled event hosts to schedule announcements ahead of time or send on-demand notifications to their attendees in support of the WWT Championship.
• Developed automatic image cropping with previews to standardize event image sizes and aspect ratios across wwt.com.
• Converted pages of our internal event management application to Vue 3.
• Migrated the management of event video conferences to a new, third-party API to support a Cisco Webex
• Improved performance for registration, check-in, and invitations for large events.
• Launched digital passes to expedite in-person check-in at field events. I- t's an especially exciting time to join the Events team as we are overhauling our existing event management platform and writing a new one from the ground up. The goal of the rewrite is to reduce complexity, increase efficiency, enrich the planning experience, and add value by driving more customers to wwt.com.

**What will you be doing? **

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer on the team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering quality software that is thoughtful and maintainable. Your primary focus will be developing new features leveraging JavaScript, NodeJS, and VueJS. You’ll tackle emerging issues as they arise, offering technical and process guidance. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring other developers to ensure that the team is high-performing and healthy.

Responsibilities:

• Build functional software and deliver technical solutions that consistently exceed stakeholder expectations using web and AI technologies.
• Ensure software and solutions scale well, are cost-effective, and adhere to software development best practices.
• Provide technical and professional mentoring for team members. 
• Lead projects and complex assignments with broad and ambiguous scope.
• Write thoughtful code that is maintainable and efficient.
• Interact directly with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and needs. 
• Demo solutions and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels. 
• Participate in ideation sessions and strategic planning. Help foster a team-first environment grounded on an understanding of and a commitment to the WWT Core Values.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about software development and delivering large and/or complex solutions in an iterative process.
• 5+ years of experience in web development technologies such as:
  • Vue, Angular, or React
  • JavaScript/NodeJS
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Possess a solid understanding of Agile principles.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production.
• Comfortable mentoring other developers.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science; A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
