Nutrition Assistant Full Time Day Shift West Campus Assists Dietitians in Food Service. Provides direct and indirect patient care as determined/delegated by a Registered Dietitian (RD). The care provided is commonly routine, i.e., delivering and picking up patient menus, assisting patients with menu selections and editing menus according to the diet prescription. Processes diet changes from nursing services and maintains census record. Checks accuracy of patient trays. Modifies menus based on patients food patterns, tolerances, and preferences. SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills. Bilingual preferred. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION: Nutrition courses PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Six months in dietary in a Healthcare setting REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: An unexpired Maricopa County Food Handler Care; or a valid card or certificate issued by an ANSI-accredited food handler training program; or a valid food handler card or certificate issued by another county within Arizona.
