    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Secretary - Pain Management - Full Time, Days - Anesthesiology-Pain Management - - 0.

    In this role, the successful candidate Performs secretarial and administrative duties to maintain and support the practice/department. Duties include compiling information, preparing reports, maintaining accounts; coordinates activities of a project or program; prepares and processes correspondence, agendas, general papers; prepares purchasing and timekeeping information. Assists with the organization, maintenance, and flow of information throughout the practice/department. Serves as a liaison with other practice/ departments and staff.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Interacts with staff members to update project documentation as necessary. Creates and maintains various databases. Compiles, prepares and enters into a computer from various sources. (i.e. accounting, statistical and related documents).
    • Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date electronic and hard copy files, records and logs for files. Develops, prepares and monitors various log, accounts, and files for current and accurate information including manual and computer logs other specialized or technical documents processed. Organizes and maintains office and specialized files in accordance with the records management program
    • Attends to a variety of office administrative details such as ordering supplies, arranging for equipment repair, transmitting information, and keeping reference materials up to date. Distributes information, handles incoming and outgoing mail packages and other special shipments.
    • May create and maintain computer based tracking information and reports including assigned database, records and list; creates standard statistical spreadsheets; inputs corrections and updates.
    • May coordinate project or program, department computing and software resources, which may include a web page
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Performs a wide variety of varied, complex, sensitive, highly responsible, and confidential office administrative, secretarial, advanced clerical functions in support of assigned department practice; relieves Practice Manager Department Head of administrative work and providing assistance in resolving operational and administrative problems. Assists in the compilation of reports.
    • Maintains calendar of activities, coordinates and arranges special events for assigned staff; screens and answers phones; coordinates activities and meetings with other departments practices and or outside agencies; coordinates arrangements and sets up meeting; notifies participants; prepares and or assembles meeting materials. May take minutes.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a High School or GED. 3 - 5 years Secretarial experience. Strong communication (both oral and written), multitasking, detail oriented, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, and Outlook ).

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Associates Degree In a related field. 1-2 years Prior related experience in a Healthcare environment. Knowledge of medical terminology.

    Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $43,218.80 - $62,397.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
