Prefer at least 2-3 years experience with adult neurologic populations. * This is an "as needed" position for the Day Rehab program, which operates Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM. What You Will Do As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will: * Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist. * Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population. * Documents treatment interventions given. * May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Current Illinois License to practice as an Physical Therapist Assistant. Education: * Associate Degree * Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired by completing an associates level Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited school Candidates with associates degree and above considered Work Experience: * Two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred. * Licensure in the State of Illinois required.
