    We are searching for the best talent for an Analyst, Functional Planning (Scientific and In Vivo Strategies).

    Purpose:

    The Analyst, Functional Planning, will support the Scientific and In Vivo Strategies (SIS) team within Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety (PSTS) by using data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence solutions to optimize operations and inform decision-making. This role will focus on assisting with the execution of operational plans, providing data-driven insights to enhance performance, and supporting decision-making across global teams. The position requires a strong foundation in data analysis and reporting, with an emphasis on business management, operational planning, and process optimization, using key business intelligence tools.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and support business planning.
    • Developing and managing dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and track performance across global sites.
    • Building data models to support operational analysis and find opportunities for process improvements.
    • Leveraging data analysis to optimize operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
    • Using a variety of business intelligence platforms and reporting tools to structure and analyze data, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
    • Supporting the integration of tools such as Office 365, Power Automate, and other systems to streamline business processes and enhance operational workflows.
    • Collaborating with SIS partners to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data analysis and reporting projects that support operational planning.
    • Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business goals.
    • Contributing to the execution of process improvement initiatives and support special projects aimed at exploring emerging technologies for better operational efficiency.
    • Assisting with the implementation of new solutions and feasibility pilots to enhance operational processes and capabilities.
    • Creating, maintaining, and optimizing SharePoint 365 and Teams sites to support collaboration, data management, and workflow efficiency.
    • Using Office 365 tools to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and improve data aggregation and reporting.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, business analytics, information systems, or a related field) is required. An advanced degree (e.g., master's) is preferred.

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on operational analytics and process optimization is required.
    • Proficiency in business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheets, or similar tools) is required.
    • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365 tools is required. .
    • Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve operational performance is required.
    • Strong experience with business intelligence and data analysis tools to support reporting and decision-making is required.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed is required.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and geographic locations is required.
    • Familiarity with streamlining business processes and improving operational efficiency using technology and data is required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights, creating reports, and collaborating with teams is required

    Preferred:

    • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data mining techniques is preferred.
    • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
    • Experience supporting operational planning within a life sciences or preclinical environment is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry best methods is preferred.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $63,000 to $102,350.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

    • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
    • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
    • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
      • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
      • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
      • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
