    Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker - OnCall- Bright House Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. 111 reviews - French Camp, CA $12.76 an hour Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, work as a member of a team to provide mental health peer support services to individuals and family/support members of individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders in Adult Residential Treatment facilities. The primary responsibility of a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker (MHRW)/Team Lead is to provide leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary team providing direct services to clients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate, implement, and monitor individual treatment plans with clients and other treatment agencies and individuals to include intake, assessment, transition, and discharge planning. * Assist with facility management and ensure all licensing and regulatory board requirements are met (Title 22, Medi-cal, etc.) * Oversee standard of Medi-Cal billing productivity by ensuring each direct billable service is accurately and timely documented. * Act as a role model for other staff and demonstrate adherence to ANKA Policies and Procedures. Ensure paperwork is complete, timely and accurate. * Supervise the admission process of all clients accepted into the program including the completion of admission documents, entering client data into Electronic Health Record and assignment to treatment team within 24 hours. * Maintain a milieu structure that involves the clients in all aspects of the program and participate as an integral part of the therapeutic milieu and as a member of a mental health team in a community-based program. * Participate in daily evaluation of clients' progress in case conference with supervisor, consultants and other staff members, and meet with clients to review case conference discussion, and provide aftercare follow-up as delegated by supervisor. * Supervise clients in developing and following a daily activity schedule in accordance with individual treatment/discharge plans. * Audit charts for organization, charting, accuracy, etc. * Assist with problem solving and provide training to other staff by exhibiting solid and consistent decision making. * Facilitate groups and activities to include but not be limited to: psycho-educational groups, basic living skills, community outings, and group counseling, and participate in 1:1 supervision sessions and weekly team supervision sessions. * Work as a member of a treatment team with other staff and have a clinical understanding of, and therapeutic relationship with, all clients to facilitate an integrated, cohesive, coordinated and supportive treatment approach. * Act as a role model within the therapeutic milieu and participate as a member of the treatment team. * Develop cross-cultural awareness of culturally-diverse client population and apply appropriate interventions in assisting them with any socio-cultural issues. * Supervise completion of timely, accurate clinical charting in accordance with Quality Assurance Standards. * Coordinate with all persons involved in client treatment to include but not be limited to: parents, physicians, case managers, treatment coordinators, therapists and board and care operators to assure continuity of client care. * Participate in planning, development, and implementation of a cohesive treatment program and assure that the program operates as scheduled and is in keeping with the structure, rules, and philosophy of the program. * Provide supervision of clients, maintain milieu and have a clinical and working knowledge of providing crisis prevention and intervention. Be able to operate effectively in a crisis. * Monitor and record client medications, interactions and side effects in coordination with staff psychiatrist and counseling staff. * Maintain and effectively use current resource file for client referrals, and take and screen referrals to assure that appropriate clients are admitted to the program. * Document all extra program contact with ex-clients and others (family, friends, etc.). * Attend and participate in all required meetings as specified by the Director, to include but not be limited to: client conferences, staff meetings, program planning meetings, staff process group meetings, linkage meetings with other agencies, and client review meetings. * Protect consumer rights, maintain client confidentiality, and handle client advocacy issues. * Assure client safety at all times. * Assist relief staff and clients/residents in emergency procedures, Universal Precautions (HIV) awareness, infection prevention and control standards, and blood borne pathogen clean-up. * Work the hours required by the program as scheduled by supervisor, including overnights, holidays, and occasional fill-in for other regular staff members and contribute to the on-going maintenance, safety and housekeeping of the program. Perform household chores, disinfect furniture and bedding. Requires the use of household and industrial cleaning materials. May be required to work overtime. * Complete required personnel-related paperwork in a timely fashion, and report on any expenditures, such as food supplies and petty cash expenses, in an accurate and timely fashion. * Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. Policies and Procedures. * Comply with the ANKA policy requirement to submit proof of valid CDL, maintain good driving record, and submit proof of auto insurance for current period of coverage. * Requires driving own vehicle to transport consumer(s) when program vehicle is unavailable, or when medical appointments or referral for client services is required. * Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Education Required:High School Diploma Experience Required: At least one (1) year (2 years preferred) experience in mental health work. Bi-cultural/bi-lingual experience is an asset. Substitution of Experience for Education: One year of experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Skills and Abilities: Be able to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring tact, poise, friendliness and sensitivity. Be able to maintain integrity and confidentiality regulations in regards to client records. Skill and ability to adapt to California Mental Health Rehabilitation Option and CARF (California Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), and programmatic program policies and procedures. Must be able to work overtime as dictated by needs of the program. Must be able to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate verbally by phone in English in a clear and concise manner. Must have experience with computer programs and software for EHR. Mental Abilities: Ability to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities, and remain pleasant and positive. Requires critical thinking and ability to manage difficult population. Requires good judgement. Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., approximately three (3) times per week. Must be able to negotiate several flights of stairs during each work shift. Ability to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather. May require use of household and industrial cleaning materials. License Required: A valid California Driver's License - Class III/C.
