We are searching for the best talent for the Associate Scientist position; located in Gurabo, PR!

The Associate Scientist is an entry level professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice for the resolution of problems and execution of projects. The Associate Scientist will work on studies of diverse scope where analysis of data is required requiring judgement and decision making. The incumbent will execute and may lead projects of low complexity and criticality related to manufacturing, packaging, and /or cleaning processes; conducts and /or leads technical studies, investigations, process improvement projects. Performs and maintains knowledge /expertise in at least two (2) of these areas: manufacturing, packaging, and cleaning validations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment of technical projects to develop strategy, plan and their execution coordinating project activities with site functional groups and other affiliates as required.

• Initiates change controls and completes technical /validation assessments to changes owned b other functional groups.

• May lead projects of low complexity

• Develops and /or reviews validation protocols in compliance with applicable standards and procedures

• Coordinate project activities and resources for the execution as per project plan

• Analyzes physical and analytical testing results from the study to summarize results and conclusions in technical reports

• Evaluates problems /deviations resulting from validation exercises and recommends resolution.

• Identifying and reporting results that deviate from normal or expected results for routine and non-routine procedures and supports the resolution of the issue

• Identifies areas of process improvements and works with technical groups in the implementation

Qualifications

Education:

• A minimum bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas ; Science in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Knowledge of Manufacturing, Packaging, and Cleaning Validations.

• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Good technical writing skills

Preferred:

• A minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• Experience in technical services /validations or related support area in the pharmaceutical and/or related industry

• Project Management software experience

• Solid understanding of statistics program, Minitab

Other:

• Proficient in (English and Spanish) written and orally

• Works a regular shift, but occasionally may be required to work extended hours, holidays and weekends

• May require occasional travel inside and outside country.
