    Ethicon, Inc., is recruiting for a Wound Closure & Healing (WC&H) or Biosurgery Global Technical Operations Engineering Co-Op, located in Raritan, NJ.

    Ethicon, Inc. is a member of Johnson & Johnson MedTech. At Ethicon, we support products across the WC&H and Biosurgery platforms, as well as across the Endo-Mechanical, Energy, and Robotics businesses. The Ethicon Product Management team is searching for engineering co-ops to join the WC&H and Biosurgery platforms!

    Ethicon WC&H is the global leader in wound closure, with products that improve efficiency, healing, and patient outcomes. WC&H's product portfolio includes absorbable and non-absorbable sutures, knotless tissue control devices, topical skin adhesives, as well as mesh and molded products. We strive to develop products that not only passively help wounds heal by approximating tissue but also actively enhance the healing process.

    Ethicon Biosurgery is a leading provider of proven solutions that address a range of surgical bleeding and leaking situations. Biosurgery's product portfolio includes proprietary oxidized regenerated cellulose hemostats; gelatin powder and sponges; flowable hemostatic matrix; human thrombin, and fibrin sealants.

    As an engineering co-op, you will be assigned to support activities related to New Product Development (NPD) and/or Lifecycle Management (LCM), including process development & qualification, equipment design/development/qualification, product design changes, significant manufacturing process changes, test method development, external manufacturing process changes, and overall project and portfolio management.

    Co-Op Term: May/June to December 2025

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Write and execute process development protocols and reports
    • Organize and submit process development samples for testing
    • Collect, analyze, and report process data
    • Collaborate with external suppliers to support key projects
    • Lead small technical projects and process changes
    • Support local community through the Credo-inspired events and activities

    Education:

    Enrolled in an accredited college/university Preferred majors are: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, and Polymer Science and Engineering Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    Must have transportation to and from work daily Completion of at least a first year of undergraduate academic program Must be able to balance multiple projects and maintain organization Must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team Must have good interpersonal and communication skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US

    Preferred:

    Demonstrated leadership is preferred Proficiency in the following is preferred: Minitab, Tableau Participation in campus/community service activities

    Other:

    Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
