  • Responsibilities

    Three years of experience in a health care setting, including at least one year of related experience in a leadership role. Equivalent and relevant combination of experience within the following departments: billing/coding, revenue cycle, or charge capture.

    Required Skills

    1. Preferred experience working with Cerner System

    2. Project management experience

    3. Ability to make good judgments in demanding situations

    4. Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work

    5. Effective communication skills

    6. Ability to listen empathetically

    7. Ability to logically organize details

    8. Responsible for medium to large scale projects involving multiple resources

    9. and spanning many months from start to finish

    10. Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities

    11. Effective organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities

    12. Effective leadership skills.

    13. Knowledge of supervisory skills and responsibilities

    14. Ability to implement change in a positive, sensitive and forward thinking manner

    15. Planning and problem solving

    16. Developing goals and objectives, and establishing priorities

    17. Inspires confidence, good judgment and ability to act decisively at the right time

    18. Self-starter with a willingness to try new ideas

    Required Experience

    Work Experience:

    License/Registration/Certification

    • * Certification in one of the following is required:
      

    · AHIMA- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

    · AHIMA-Certified Registered Health Information Tech (RHIT)

    · AHIMA-Certified Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

    · AAPC- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)


    C. Education and Training:

    Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a business, healthcare administration or related major
