    ** General Summary**

    The Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical education for the hospital including New Employee Orientation, Nursing Internship Program, PBDS Assessments, CPR marathons, JCAHO Compliance and Competency Days.

    CLINICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR Proficiency Level CLINICAL EDUCATION ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Responsible for coordinating clinical education for the hospital including New Employee Orientation, Nursing Internship Program, PBDS Assessments, CPR marathons, JCAHO Continuous Compliance and Competency Days Manages educational material used in orientation, PBDS, CPR, electronic library/resources and other programs taught by Clinical Educators. This may involve design, development or purchase of materials for the clinical education department. Serves as hospital contact/resource to school coordinators, instructors and students. Coordinates student compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and hospital requirements and coordinates clinical student placements for the hospital. Interfaces with CHI consultants and CHI raters concerning problems/issues related to assessments. Manages receipt of confidential assessment results from CHI and coordinates distribution to appropriate Clinical Educator and manager. Organizes yearly schedule for initial clinical assessments and reassessments and prepares and administers individualized assessments for each RN new hire. Prepares departmental payroll and coordinates schedule for meetings and programs related to Director and Clinical Educators. - TEAMWORK & FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Maintains a positive and professional attitude with co-workers, patients, families/significant others, medical staff, volunteers, and visitors. Maintains and uses material, supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner and contributes ideas for cost reductions or improved efficiency without sacrificing quality. Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.

    Pay Range: $27.44-$38.41
