    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Manager, Nutrition - Full Time, Days (9AM - 5PM, Monday to Friday) - Food&Nutrition-Patient.

    In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the management of the Inpatient Registered Dietitians RD Maintains appropriate RD staffing with a skilled team providing quality Nutrition care Function as a resource person to dietitians nutrition students residents and medical team regarding the nutritional management of patients Responsible for the accurate functioning of the Food and Nutrition Services departments CBORD NSS information system Manages resources to ensure flawless execution of patient meal services with a focus on the accuracy of patients diet and menu selections Provide optimum nutritional care to patients admitted to general medicine surgical and ICU units through nutritional evaluation assessment counseling and medical team communication

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Demonstrates knowledge of the organization s service standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties nbsp;
    * Manage and evaluate overall performance of all Registered dietitians RD Assure the provision of medical nutrition therapy including assessment diagnosis and patient education according to established department policies
    * Maintain the Food and Nutrition information system inclusive of establishing parameters and ensuring accuracy of the system wide Epic/CBORD interface information Makes recommendations for upgrades as necessary based on latest advances in research through continued education nbsp;
    * Assures accurate completion of patient menus in accordance with the approved current diet manual Updates and corrects patient menu cycles/therapeutic diets and menu guide on a timely basis to reflect production line changes patient s specials and best nutrition practices
    * Seeks opportunities to continuously improve system Educate and monitor Food and Nutrition staff to assure 100 compliance and accuracy of menu through continued performance improvement process
    * Actively participates in patient satisfaction initiatives
    * Provides assistance and contribute new ideas to the department
    * Maintain open communications with the Nutritional Services Director and/or Director of Clinical Nutrition Services
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelor s Degree in Nutrition Science or related field New York State Certified Dietitian Nutritionist NYS CDN License Registered Dietitian RD Successful completion of the RD exam approved through the Commission on Dietetic Registration CDR the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Five years clinical experience in major medical center Extensive knowledge of the CBORD system and Foodservice organizational software systems Effective oral written communication and interpersonal skills.

    Required Licenses: Dietetics-Nutrition-NYS, Registered Dietitian

    Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65,611.00 - $111,343.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    • Participate in an employee’s annual performance evaluation and give direct one on one feedback and coaching to team members about their skills and performance. Set clear performance goals/expectations for team and each member.

    • Communicate and coordinate with other Foreman at the job site to ensure optimal work flow/Quality and safety.

    • Responsible for the safety of LPR personnel assigned to him/her. Identify, notify of and resolve any risks that are inherent in the construction of the project striving for proactive and intentional leadership in zero injury safety culture.

    • Responsible for the quality of the work done by her/his crew by adhering to LPR Quality plans and designs to meet or exceed the quality control plan.

    • Maintaining efficient construction review of design to identify optimum balance between schedule, cost, quality, function and aesthetics. Participate in implementing effective schedule changes.

    • Thorough, timely and effective input of data that relates field operations into project files, logs, records including payroll time entry.

    • Planning, coordinating and scheduling equipment needed for work area of responsibility.

    • Foreman may perform labor in completing crew tasks i.e. welding, installing bolts, layout, unload trucks, operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, etc.

    • Report all accidents to the GF and Safety Dept. within one hour after necessary EMS steps have been taken to care for injured worker, or secure job site for continued safety.

    • Establish and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers.

    • Ability to understand and execute drawings.

    • Laying out and installing of misc. metals - Stairs, Handrails and other misc. metals
