Job Description
General Summary
Management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery and fostering of interdisciplinary planning and collaborative relationships within area of responsibility and the system as a whole.
Serves as a liaison for the patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and external agencies to coordinate and expedite the care of the patient.

Qualifications
Current RN Licensure. Bachelor’s preferred (or in progress). Health Care Provider BLS Certification required. Three to five years of clinical experience within the specialty. Understanding of current nursing practice trends; knowledge in the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological stages of human growth and development.
The employee in this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the age of the patients served. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the necessary care as described in the department’s policies and procedures
