    We are searching for the best talent to fill our Surgical Robotics Computer Vision Intern, based in Santa Clara, CA ****

    Core Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and test advanced computer vision algorithms for real-time mapping and 3D reconstruction in dynamic environments.
    • Experiment design, testing, and validation of algorithm performance in simulated and real environments.
    • Integrate new algorithms into existing frameworks and machine learning pipelines.
    • Work closely with other Computer Vision Scientists, Research Scientists, Navigation Engineers and cross-functional teams.

    Required Qualifications:

    • PhD candidate in CS, EE, Robotics or equivalent fields.
    • Strong background in computer vision and good understanding of 3D reconstruction, real-time mapping, pose estimation and visual odometry.
    • Hands-on experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow) for computer vision.
    • Proficiency in Python.
    • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience in processing endoscopic and/or laparoscopic image datasets.
    • Experience in deploying machine learning models into real-world cloud applications using MLOps standards.

    The anticipated base pay for this position is between 31.00/hr and 59.00/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
