We are searching for the best talent for a Distribution Technology Lead to be in Memphis, TN.
Job Summary
The Distribution Technology Lead will be responsible for leading system related projects and initiatives within the
CLS Distribution network.
This individual will be responsible for leading Distribution Technology and/or Distribution team-based FPX projects
while supporting cross-sector deployments of WMS, YMS, WCS, TMS and other affiliated distribution systems. The
Distribution Technology Lead will be responsible for defining requirements, translating them for our IT, Business and
Contractor partners, while being the SME for processes and systems.
This individual will support and drive business case development, concept / feasibility assessment, project planning,
system and process design, key milestone tracking, user acceptance testing, enabling change management for
impacted workstreams, and updates to leadership on project status.
This individual will oversee the WMS processes and system by driving accountability and process adherence while
designing and implementing enhancements and break-fixes. They will also drive adoption through sound
requirements, design and implementation to external business partners while also driving training and ownership
within that business unit.
The Distribution Technology Lead will also be expected to perform benchmarking, industry research, and make
recommendations for future distribution projects to drive the strategic needs of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Distribution Technology Lead will be responsible for leading from within system related
projects and initiatives within the MedTech Deliver Network.
Act as the Business process and systems SME for Deliver Workstream on Key Distribution Projects
Ownership of User Stories, Requirements, User Acceptance Testing and Training
Drive validation of systems in accordance with current GxP/SDLC processes and requirements
Defining and enabling measurement via KPI’s.
Responsible for coordinating with external contractors and drive accountability with all project team members within their scope of responsibility.
Responsible for identifying opportunities to drive cost efficiencies and technological improvements within the distribution network.
Benchmark and Evaluate distribution processes and technology solutions and improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferred subjects include Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations and/or Engineering, IT.
2 to 5 years of experience required.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
A track record of process improvement, cost reduction and/or customer service success; results oriented
The ability to communicate and interact effectively across internal departments
The ability to influence at various organizational levels
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, and be self-directed
The ability to lead change efforts
Comfortable working in an ever-changing matrix environment
Big picture orientation with attention to detail
Sense of urgency
Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio, Project, and Outlook
Operations knowledge of warehouse management systems (MARC, PRMS, JDE, BY), SAP, transportation
systems, WCS systems (Exacta, MDCS) or other extending systems (StepLogic) within the Medical Device
business
Ability to manage consultants and work teams
Ability to travel up to 10%
Other Skills Preferred
Experience working with validated systems
Experience with Process Excellence (Six Sigma and Lean) tools, training, and/or certification
APICS Certification and Statistical/ Analytical software
Experience working in manufacturing, planning, Supply Chain IT, customer service, transportation, or distribution
