Performs various electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations, extended epilepsy monitoring and evoke potentials studies utilizing various monitoring equipment and recording observations to collect diagnostic patient data used in detecting brain and sleep disorders. Participate in facility and departmental process improvement initiatives as may be required.
Required Skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Basic knowledgeable of or ability to learn various electroencephalographic procedures and processes.
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish Preferred.
Required Experience
Work Experience:
- Related experience with healthcare equipment in a hospital/healthcare setting.
License/Registration/Certification:
- Current Basic Life Support
Education and Training:
- Completion of a healthcare program in a clinical area (i.e. Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, etc.).
