Foundation Assistant
Summary
As a key member of the Fundraising and Development Team, the Foundation Assistant provides administrative support for the development and implementation of fundraising, friend-raising and brandraising strategies to advance the mission of Mountains Community Hospital Foundation. This position reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) and also works collaboratively with Mountains Community Hospital Foundation Board Members, Auxiliary Members, Marketing Manager, and other staff and volunteers.
Shift and schedule
32 hours, non-exempt. Weekends and evenings as needed.
Starting pay range
$28-31/hour with benefits package
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Two or more years of related work experience
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal skills
• Software proficiency o Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint o Marketing email tools are a plus o Graphic design tools are a plus o CRM systems are a plus
• Ability to track extremely fine details in an organized manner with the ability to connect the dots
• Diligent, hardworking and eager to learn
• Inquisitive and anticipates needs
• Knowledge and familiarity with the Rim of the World Communities
• Strives to develop friendly and positive relationships among staff, board members, donors, volunteers, and the general public • Patience and a sense of humor!
Specific Responsibilities
• Fundraising o Responsible for maintaining accurate records of donors, potential donors, gifts, grants and naming opportunities
o Tracks donations and generates reports for accounting o Handles gift acknowledgment process, which includes customized correspondence o Creates online donation forms
o Coordinates events which provide appropriate gift recognitions like ribbon cuttings, naming opportunity dedications, etc.
o Assists with mailers and year-end giving campaign
o Provides on-site support and assistance at MCH Foundation events as-needed
• Foundation Board o Updates Foundation Board rosters and distribution lists o Sets up board meetings, distributes agenda and takes meeting minutes o Facilitates board member communication and responds to emails o Assists in creating PowerPoint presentations for board meetings
• Le Grand Picnic duties o Manages auction platform for annual fundraising gala. Enters tickets, sponsorships, and auction items
o Persistently and proactively reaches out to attendees to gather missing guest information
o Generates donation receipts in a timely manner o Tracks event activity in Auctria and DonorPerfect
o Assists in auction item and sponsorship solicitation
• Marketing o Updates e-mail marketing lists with new donors o Drafts the Foundation e-newsletter o Updates physical donor wall and website annually
o Keep Marketing Manager apprised of fundraising news and activities so they can be shared with the community
• Other
o Keeps the Foundation/Marketing Office tidy and organized o Keeps all Foundation files organized (both electronic and physical) o Initiates the development of new forms, and other tracking tools o Performs other duties as assigned
