    Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for several Summer Intern positions within the Global Development Organization. The positions will be considered a hybrid on-site in one of our Pennsylvania or New Jersey locations and/or fully remote work from home.

    Global Development Summer Intern Positions:

    Our 2024 Summer Intern Program will encompass several functions that focus on the delivery of patient centric solutions across drug-development processes such as API development, drug delivery, clinical trial management within various therapeutic areas and delivery unit operations in an effective and efficient manner, supporting process improvements, risk management and critical path activities.

    The Internship Program will provide under-graduate students with practical experience with the end-to-end delivery of global clinical trials, working with cross-functional teams, understanding global regulations, and gaining exposure to all processes and functions that support the conduct of clinical trials. Interns will gain exposure to Global Development and participate in the development of life-changing medicines to help mobilize the overall portfolio. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work beyond clinical trials and gain insights across batches, trials, and submissions, support integrated end to end drug development at the asset level and gain further knowledge into data science and AI.

    We offer a fast-paced cross-functional, technologically advanced environment with passion about developing individual projects and partnership management skills through early talent engagement. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about compound development, therapeutic areas, disease states, and portfolio management. J&J's mission is to advance our portfolio by implementing team strategies, optimize resourcing, create robust plans, and cultivate partnerships to deliver better & faster medicines to our patients.

    Life as a Global Development Summer Intern:

    The Intern Program provides real-life hands-on experience, coaching, mentoring, and networking opportunities to meet people from various cross-functional areas. Each intern will be assigned to a single function with a specific project for the 12-15 weeks duration. Adherence to applicable SOPs, Work Instructions, Policies, Codes of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Local Regulatory requirements, etc. is mandatory. Compliance with relevant training requirements is required.

    • The typical summer term is from May 2024 - August 2024.
    • The Internship may be virtual/remote, while onsite requirements may be applicable.
    • Career mentorship is available with networking opportunities within assigned team and beyond.
    • Assignment area and work-site location will be matched to business needs.
    • For roles that require you to work on site, transportation is the student's responsibility.
    • Interns will be required to work 36-40 hours per week with a possibility for a ½ day off on Fridays.
    • Pay rate is determined based on the grade level at time of offer.
    • A Summer Intern Project is required to be conducted beyond the daily work assignment.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
    • Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of the Intern assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum GPA of 3.3 is required
    • Completion of Undergraduate Sophomore year at an accredited University is required prior to start of the internship
    • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while executing results
    • Must be a self-starter works independently while contributing to the team goals
    • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired

    The anticipated base pay for this position is between $21.00 and $45.00, but will be based on candidate’s program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
