Camp Bow Wow Albany seeks an exceptional Guest Services Support team member (available 6-16 hours a week) for the 4:00pm-7:00pm shift (Monday-Saturday and occasional Sundays) to assist the Guest Services Agent in providing a superior customer service experience for our Pet Parents. Everything at Camp Bow Wow is "camp themed" so our dogs are called Campers.
We affectionately refer to the position as "The Runner" because your primary role is to reunite the Pet Parent with their Camper at pick-up time. The role also includes cleaning responsibilities. This role is ideal for a high school or college student seeking part-time employment to gain work experience.
Responsibilities:
Reunite the Camper (the dog) with their Pet Parent at pick-up within approximately two minutes. Safety is never be compromised however in the interest of a fast response.
Properly greet Pet Parents when they enter the lobby. Eye contact and a smile are essential.
Confirm that you have the correct dog prior to bringing them to the Pet Parent in the lobby. Each camper should be wearing a name tag. When in doubt, confirm with a team member that you have the correct camper.
Learn how to properly put dog harnesses on in a timely fashion.
Regularly demonstrate sincere concern for the care, attitudes, and behaviors of Campers.
Ensure all Camper belongings are returned to Pet Parent at the end of each visit. This includes making sure that all Camper belongings are cleaned (if needed) prior to pick-up.
Handle all dog sizes and breeds when escorting them to/from play yards at drop off or pick up.
Respond without hesitation to assist Camp Counselors in yard when a first responder is needed during a dog escalation.
Cleaning the lobby, training room, groom room, and back offices, as well as other cleaning duties. The runner also assists in dog cabin cleaning when available. On some days, cleaning is 50-70% of the job.
Must be able to work 4:00-7:00pm at least 4 days each week Monday-Saturday, and occasional Sundays.
Must be available to work some holidays and occasional Sundays.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to build rapport with Pet Parents and express a love for dogs each and every day.
Authorized to work in the United States.
