    Integrated Data Analytics and Reporting (IDAR), which comprises of: Data Management, Clinical & Statistical Programming, Clinical Data Standards & Transparency, Risk Management-Central Monitoring and Medical Writing, is recruiting for a Business Operations Specialist.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Business Operations Specialist will report into our centralized Business Operations team and work with the senior leadership team and across functions to support strategic initiatives, business operations, and assist with IDAR-wide strategy, planning, and operations. You will have high visibility with leadership.

    You will:

    • Learn the daily management of a function
    • Build positive relationships with business partners to understand their business objectives and the data they need to inform decisions
    • Support the break down business questions into logical components, transforming those components into data solutions and business insights
    • Ensure that data delivered to the functions is accurate, reliable, and meets their needs
    • Gain an understanding of the business health and key performance metrics for the IDAR business and functions you support
    • Working closely with the business operations team and senior leadership - define and prioritize business operations focus areas for their function and develop solutions
    • With the support of the IBO, communicate insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership

    Working with one or more IDAR Functions, the key focus areas will be:

    • FINANCIAL AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Supports one or more Functions in the development of the annual IDAR budget. In alignment with the Function Heads coordinates implementation of resource forecasting procedures. Assesses the accuracy of forecasting methods and implements improvements. Identify, analyze and observe trends or patterns of data across IDAR functions.
    • STRATEGIC & OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT: IDAR Leadership Team Management. Support the planning and coordination of the Leadership Team meetings. Follow up on action items until closed. Develop and distribute agendas and meeting minutes.
    • BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Support development of operational metrics, reports, and dashboards aligned with functional needs. Monitor progress against IDAR Goals & Objectives.
    • COMMUNICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: Working closely with the IDAR Comms Team, coordinates the communication plan for IDAR to ensure active and ongoing communications.
    • STRATEGIC INITIATIVE MANAGEMENT: Working with IDAR TALs and Functions, coordinate the identification, prioritization, tracking and reporting out of end-to-end improvement initiatives. May be assigned as a Project Manager of a strategic initiative.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree required; Consideration will be given to candidates with documentation indicating that all the requirements for a Bachelor’s degree have been met prior to the start date.
    • Recent graduates with relevant academic and/or internship experience preferred
    • Candidate must be within two years of graduation
    • Willingness to jump in wherever needed; relentlessly inventive and creative problem-solver preferred.
    • Attention to detail and organized
    • Presentation skills
    • Ability to put themselves in the (internal) customer's shoes and understand their needs and challenges
    • Ability to work remotely
    • Knowledge of remote working tools (ZOOM, TEAMS, etc.)
    • Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage projects of varying focus
    • Affinity for technology
    • High proficiency in Excel Sheets, preferred experience in Tableau/Spotfire; comfortable with computer operating systems and concepts preferred
