    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team in Baltimore, United States. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide essential pharmacy services while ensuring accurate medication dispensing and exceptional patient care.

    • Process and prepare prescription medications with precision and accuracy according to established protocols
    • Perform pharmaceutical calculations and measurements for medication preparation
    • Maintain accurate patient records and process insurance claims
    • Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies
    • Operate pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing equipment
    • Assist in compounding medications following USP guidelines and safety protocols
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
    • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
    • Handle prescription intake, data entry, and verification of patient information
    • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace
    • Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medication handling and distribution
    • Assist in quality control procedures and maintenance of pharmacy equipment
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Maryland State Pharmacy Technician Registration
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a pharmacy setting
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and technology
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
    • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards

    Preferred:

    • National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
    • Experience with automated dispensing systems
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
    • Basic compounding experience
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
    • Experience with insurance processing and billing
