    Intake Clinician

    Are you looking for a rewarding and flexible career working as an Intake Clinician at one of our outpatient centers? We have a great opportunity to join one of our outpatient teams in Somerville. You will be able to work in a supportive small team atmosphere while also working as part of a larger organization that is a leader within the mental health care industry.

    The Intake Clinician will be responsible for completing a diagnostic assessment at first meeting, along with orienting new clients to the different services offered in our outpatient clinic. If appropriate they will work with the client on making referrals to other services to meet the full spectrum of client needs assessed. They will work closely with our admin intake coordinator, program director, and team of therapists to ensure a smooth transition from enrollment to ongoing treatment.

    Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working with the people we serve along with a team of therapists and will have clinical skills in assessment and diagnoses and experience working with a broad range of clinical presentations and age ranges from young children to elders.

    Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours

    Pay Rate :

    • Unlicensed: $63,859.95/salaried
    • Independent Licensure: $66,955.20/salaried

    Required Skills

    • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible, reliable, responsible and friendly
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) required
    • Experience completing clinical assessment and diagnoses for a broad range of populations
    • Some experience working with substance use disorders preferred
    • Emergency services/triage experience preferred

    Required Experience

    • Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling required.
    • Independent licensure (LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC) preferred but not required
    • Intermediate computer fluency (including Microsoft Office) required
    • Advanced computer fluency (including Microsoft Office) preferred with passion for technology
