    Job Description:

    Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a New Product Development Intern, located in Irvine, CA.

    Our Johnson & Johnson Summer Intern Program is a comprehensive learning and professional experience in the new product development space at one of the world’s leading health care companies. We are seeking a motivated and diligent New Product Development Engineering Intern to join our team. The intern will play a vital role in supporting the Manufacturing Operations unit by coordinating project plans, completing engineering tasks, and ensuring efficient communication within the team and with leadership.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and execution of detailed engineering project plans aimed at improving performance and efficiencies using standard project management tools.
    • Arrange the translation of relevant manufacturing data into broadly-understandable terms to accurately communicate project progress with leadership.
    • Complete routine tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Operations unit under general supervision, following standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of results.
    • Understand and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Will work fully on site

    Qualifications - External

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related fields).
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage project engineering tools and techniques to solve problems.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Diligent with strong organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently under general supervision.
    • Proficient with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    22$ per hour to 51.50$ per hour

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
