Position Overview
The Junior Analyst, Research and GRC-Assurance will play a key supporting role in the Research and Development (R&D) Department, assisting both the Research Directorate and the GRC-Assurance Services Directorate. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to develop expertise in research methodologies, technical documentation, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs. The Junior Analyst will contribute to research initiatives, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and gain hands-on experience in cloud security and assurance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research Support
• Coordinate with research teams, working groups, and key stakeholders in the execution of research projects.• Manage the activities of CSA’s Working Groups, ensuring they align with research goals.• Support the preparation of research documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and technical reports.• Conduct background research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and security frameworks.• Contribute to the development of technical content, reports, and white papers.
2. GRC-Assurance Program Support
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of GRC-Assurance programs, including the STAR Program and CAR Initiative.• Support the refinement of conformity assessment schemes and technical standards under supervision.• Aid in the mapping of CSA’s security frameworks (CCM, AI-CM, etc.) to global standards, best practices, laws, and regulations.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing logistical and administrative support for meetings and initiatives.• Assist in preparing progress reports, presentations, and technical documentation for stakeholder review.• Address stakeholder inquiries related to research and assurance programs under the guidance of senior team members.
4. Program Development & Innovation
• Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing research methodologies and improving technical frameworks.• Assist in managing and optimizing online forums and collaboration platforms to engage the research and security community.• Support the integration of new tools and technologies within research and GRC-Assurance programs.
Qualifications & Competencies: Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field.• Strong interest in cloud security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, NIST, and CSA frameworks is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Internship or prior experience in a technical, research, or security-focused role.• Basic knowledge of cloud security technologies and assurance tools.• Exposure to research methodologies and technical writing is advantageous.
