PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER

Kiddie Academy of Monroe is currently hiring Teachers to join our team in our Preschool classroom.

Kiddie Academy of Monroe is a state-of-the-art educational child care center serving children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for enriching young children's lives and can work as part of a team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
• Candidates must have previous teaching experience, in a group care setting preferred.
• Candidates must be flexible with the center's scheduling needs.
• Candidates should have a high level of passion, creativity, flexibility, excellent organizational and communication skills for interacting with children and adults
• Have the ability and desire to work collaboratively with co-workers.
• Responsible for ensuring that all parent, children, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed.
• Supervises children during all activities. Counsel children when social, academic or adjustment problems arise.
• Develops, plans, and prepares instructional aids / materials for classroom activities.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Assists children with meal times and clean-up.
• Completes all academy and classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
• Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• It is preferred that the candidate have an Education degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, AND/OR prior teaching experience in an Early Childhood Program.
• Must have prior experience working with preschool age children.
• Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis to at least waist high.
• Candidates must meet all licensing qualifications for State of New Jersey and possess proper qualifications and certifications.

Required education:

· Bachelor's (Preferred)

High school or equivalent

Required experience:

1 years early childhood experience at licensed Child Care facility
