Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
Assigns duties to nursing assistants based on residents' needs and available staff.
Observes, records, and reports any change in resident’s condition.
Notifies residents' physician as necessary to report a change in condition, medication requests, or changes and to verify physician orders.
Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations.
Transcribes written physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Record.
Completes laboratory requests as ordered by a physician.

Valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Previous experience in healthcare, especially in a clinical or long-term care setting, is preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize patient care needs.
