  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Provides professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
    • Assigns duties to nursing assistants based on residents' needs and available staff.
    • Observes, records, and reports any change in resident’s condition.
    • Notifies residents' physician as necessary to report a change in condition, medication requests, or changes and to verify physician orders.
    • Monitors the medication and treatment cart, nurses' station, and medication room to ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of and narcotics are counted per policy and regulations.
    • Transcribes written physician orders accurately to Medication Administration Record.
    • Completes laboratory requests as ordered by a physician.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
    • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Previous experience in healthcare, especially in a clinical or long-term care setting, is preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize patient care needs.
    • Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
